Leaf Removal Made Easy!

Don’t maintain your lawn all year long only to let it rot in the winter. As much as we would all would love to stare them away, it just doesn’t work… I’m sure many of you have tried 😊 When you’re convinced that they won’t remove themselves, try this method for an efficient and professional leaf cleanup!

Tools You’ll Need:
#1 A Leaf Rake or Blower
Just a simple leaf rake will do. Just as long as it’s small enough to fit in between any shrubs or tight areas where you’ll have to rake. If you have a blower – that runs – that will work too, but don’t worry about going to buy a $200 leaf blower instead of a $6 rake. The rake will serve you just as well for this method.
#2 Bagging Lawn Mower
Whether it is a 21” push mower or a 48” riding mower, as long as it has a bag it will do the trick! Remember to check the oil, and check to see that the air filter is clean before you run it.
#3 Somewhere to Put the Leaves
If you live on a property with woods it may be as easy as putting them into the woods or some other wooded location, but for most of us we don’t have that AWESOME luxury. For the rest of us we have to put them in bags or blow them onto the curb if your city takes them up. If you need some, Home Depot carries lawn bags for around $6-$8.

Once You Have All Your Tools, Follow These Three Simple Steps!
#1 Get all the Leaves onto the Lawn
Blow or rake all the leaves from your pine straw and mulch beds. You want to get all the leaves out from around the house and the beds and get them onto the lawn.
#2 Bag them Up
Once all the leaves are out onto the lawn, throw the bagger on the lawn mower and start mowing. Once your bag is full, stop the mower and put the leaves into a bag. Continue to do this until all the leaves are gone! If you have an excessive amount of leaves, mow over all the leaves once or twice without the bag on to mulch them up. Then, you can bag them up, but there will be much less to remove!
#3 Properly Dispose of your Leaf Bags.
Don’t be that person that leaves all your leaf bags in your garage because you don’t want to get rid of them. Pay to have someone pick them up, or ask one of your blessed friends who has woods if you can empty them at their house 😊
